What Is Paid To Click/Read?

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

This is another method of making money online which I am trying. Actually, many advertisers are willing to pay us for reading their ads and viewing their websites. As such, there are many PTR and PTC websites around.

PTR stands for Paid To Read and PTC stands for Paid To Click. After you sign up for an account in one of those websites, they will send you e-mailed ads or you will be able to click on ads at their website.

Either way you must click on links, in order to get paid. Usually those links lead you to pages that have timers of 10-30 seconds. Your account is credited once the timer expires. Membership to those websites is FREE and it is very easy and fun for anyone to participate and make some money.

PPC SEs stands for Pay Per Click Search Engines. In Pay Per Click Search Engines, advertisers pay only for the click through to their site. In order to make money, you need to send them traffic.

The problem is that many sites which disappear and then appear with a different name, it is important to differentiate the honest sites from the scams.

A Professional Website And Your Affiliate Business

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

How important is our website in the affiliate business? According to experts, it can make or break us. From day one, we should plan how your site is going to be, from domain name to the design, the lay-out, the content, and ads. Obviously, I have not been doing it…yet.

At first glance, the user must like what they see and if they find it ugly, they won’t read the content even if it is very interesting or informative. But of course, content is important.

Selecting a top level domain name is also crucial to the success of the affiliate program. Lots of affiliate sites don’t appear in the search engine results because they are deemed by affiliate managers as personal sites.Major search engines and directories would think of your site as transient ones and thus, they won’t list it in the directory. Before you decide on the domain name, know first what you are going to promote.

Many fail because their sites are not appropriately named, so even when they feature the exact products the customer is looking for, the customer might think the site is not relevant and thus, won’t enter the site.

Any Real Income From Survey Sites?

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

Are there any real income from survey sites? From what I have seen, there are legitimate sites that send you surveys every month to take and the rewards can range between $5 to $50 for one survey.

If you get selected for a focus group, even better, you can pocket $200 to $300 per study, but the requirements will be more stringent and it may be spaced over several days or weeks.

Most other surveys are for points and discounts. If you continue to get good surveys every day, it is possible to make a few hundred dollars a month. It is not a get rich quick scheme though.

Main thing is not to pay for the list. of sites that give surveys. This info is available for free.

Why People Fail In Affiliate Marketing?

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Compared to traditional advertising practices, affiliate programs are more effective, risk-free and cost-efficient. But why do many people still fail in affiliate marketing?

There are a lot of reasons and a lot of areas in the program to look into. The most critical aspect in the affiliate program is promotion and advertising. Many affiliate marketers fail in this aspect because they lack hard work, which is the most important thing in affiliate marketing and in all other kinds of business as well.

Although it pays to be lucky, you cannot merely rely on it. Affiliate marketing isn’t as simple as directing customers to the business site. If you want to earn big, of course, you have to invest time and great amount of hard work in promoting the products.

As earlier mentioned, the competition is very high and customers nowadays are very wise, too. After all, who doesn’t want to get the best purchase—that is, to pay less and get more in terms of quantity and quality.

Affiliate Marketing Involves Aggressive Promotion

Friday, February 15th, 2008

A lot of people are lured into affiliate marketing and you might be one of them. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the most effective means of generating a full-time income through the Internet.

It’s a fair deal between the merchandiser and his affiliates as both benefit from each sale materialized. Like in other kinds of business, a great deal of the profits in affiliate marketing depends on the affiliate’s advertising, promoting and selling strategies.

Everyday, as affiliate marketing industry expands, competition heightens as well so an affiliate marketer must be creative enough to employ unique and effective ways to convince potential buyers to purchase or avail of the products and services offered.

Contradictory Advice and Scams

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Researching online programs can be a risky business. It seems that no matter which way I turn, there are contradictory advice or making money opportunities best described as scams.

These programs offer very little, if anything, in return. Unfortunately, for newbies like me or those who are desperate or greedy, we can be lured by the beautiful promises and waste our time and money.

They become discouraged and in turn give up their dreams of online income after joining a “good” program but it falls short of expectations in terms of reward and support.

“Too good to be true” and it often is.

Do You Backup Your Computer?

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Getting into the Paid to Read business is risky. There are many viruses and spyware which can be hidden into the websites. What will you do when your computer goes down?

That used to be a problem for me as well. One of my friend recommend that I use a network and everything can be backed up onto a second PC. So if my main PC goes down, I will always have my backup and life goes on.

The key is to make sure you do daily backups and have them transferred to the second PC. Or use backup software with an external hard disk. Also don’t forget to backup your websites and blog databases. This is important if your livelihood depends on the internet.

Be Frugal With Water Bottles

Friday, February 8th, 2008

Our family go on excursions on some weekends and the little items we buy can exceed our budget easily. We save money by packing our lunches. We also save money by bringing our own water bottles.

Bottled water is expensive and a lot of waste is created if we don’t recycle. To save money, we fill the bottles with our filtered tap water when we go out these days.
