I Just Love Writing

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

The more I write on this blog, the more I love it. It is a joy keeping track of my events and knowing that people can see what is going on in my life too, even if they are far away.

We can communicate through comments. I love reading other people’s blogs that I care about and seeing the things that they are interested in and hearing their stories. I love how sites can be personalized, and people can write about whatever they want without getting interupted with someone else’s opinion.

If you don’t like writing, what are the reasons? You can use blogger or wordpress and taking the first steps is easy. I can do it, so can you, just do it…

SEO Optimisation for Blogs

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

The optimal keyword density for SEO optimization is believed to be 2 - 10%. Overdoing it and the search engines will regard an article as spam. Article spam will cause your site to become sandboxed and getting out is not easy.

Below is a basic checklist for SEO optimization. Meaning places where the keywords used in writing our blog article should appear. They will not guarantee a top ten position in Google but it will help.

Title
Sub-header
Meta Tags ==> Keywords and Description

Some other tactics adopted by other SEO experts include using bold, highlighting, underlining and colored fonts in the text to improve readability. Inserting pictures to liven up the post is also a common characteristic for the popular blogs.

Sentences should be short and sharp. Most importantly, the content should be useful to the readers. After all, it is people who are reading and not search engines. Good content will have readers who link back on their own and with increased backlinks, you are sure to have more readers.

Understanding Needs and Wants

Monday, March 10th, 2008

There are many reasons why people buy products. But usually, it is to satisfy at least one of two things: wants and needs. This is important if you are in the affiliate marketing business.

Basic human needs usually involves a staple or necessity for survival or safety. Wants are luxuries that we desire. We don’t necessarily need them but we want them. We have an urge to have them.

As an affiliate marketer must be willing to learn more. Certainly, there are still a lot of things to learn and so an affiliate marketer must continue to educate himself so he can improve his marketing strategies.

Many fail because they don’t grow in the business and they are merely concerned about earning big quickly. If you want long-term and highly satisfactory results, take time to learn the ins and outs of the business.

Continue to improve your knowledge especially with the basics in affiliate marketing ranging from advertising to programming, web page development, and search engine optimization techniques.

Likewise, study the needs and wants of your site users and how different merchandisers compete with each other.

Surviving On Paid To Read Emails?

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

After trying for a few days, I will discount this as a money making opportunity. Every site will pay us varying amounts per email or ad read. Some are pennies per email read while pay HUNDREDS of dollars per read.

Common sense will tell us that this kind of hundred dollars sites are scams, who else has the financial muscle to pay us so much just to click and view a site for a few seconds?

You need to read the fine print of the contract to prevent your account from being terminated. That includes creating only one account and not using auto-clickers. If you want more details on the Paid To Read industry, there are plenty of threads on the Internet.

Just be careful that many such programs shut down as the admin finds it too much work to maintain the site, cannot find advertisers or simply pocket whatever funds it receive without making payments.

However, if you find programs that are reliable, your earning potential is about a couple hundred dollars a month. Could be more provided you are good at promoting and getting referrals. You will never get rich off of Paid to Read programs though.

Perservere For Success in Affiliate Marketing

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Remember to keep on trying; don’t get disappointed if your first attempts did not pay off. Thousands are attracted by the possibility of generating skyrocketing incomes through affiliate marketing and so they sign up in any affiliate program without carefully understanding every aspect of the business.

When they don’t get instant results, they quit and sign up for another program and repeat the process of just copying links and referring them to others. When you sign up for an affiliate program, don’t expect to get rich in an instant. Work on your advertising strategies and be patient. You’ll never know how much you can get if you don’t persevere.

Preparing Well For Affiliate Marketing

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

It seems a lack of preparation is the main reason why one fails in affiliate marketing, whether he is a merchandiser or an affiliate. Part of the preparation is researching. For merchants, selecting the right affiliate websites is the key to success.

To ensure quality, he must consider all the highly interested affiliates whose sites can fit nicely to his products and services. The affiliate site’s visitors must match his targeted customers.

As for affiliate marketers, they also have to research on the good-paying and reliable merchandisers before signing up in any affiliate program. He must ensure a fit of the merchants’ products and services to his interests so he can appear as an authority on hte subject and also give his full attention to the program.

Valuable information is available in affiliate forums and articles on affiliate marketing. The pros have been there, done that and will offer tips on how to choose the best products with better conversion rates.
