Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” was released in theaters in December last year to great fanfare, following the success of its 2007 debut release.

The plot revolves around Chipmunks singing sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore who end up in the care of Dave Seville’s nephew Toby. The boys must cast music super stardom aside by returning to school, and are tasked to save the school’s music program by winning the $25,000 prize in a battle of the bands.

However, the Chipmunks met their match in The Chipettes consisting of Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette. Romantic and musical sparks are ignited when the Chipmunks and Chipettes square off.

For those who find the music scenes unforgettable, the good news is that the movie is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download. The Double DVD Pack includes “The Squeak Along” Bonus Disc , with music, dance videos, games and new singalongs! This is a rare value-for-money purchase for me.

Once I get hold of the Squeakquel DVD, I am going to watch it rightaway with my family. I still have fond memories of Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoon on television when I was a kid. Back then, all the boys wanted to imitate the squeaky voices of the Chipmunks and played pranks on each other.

If you have not added this family friendly film to your home collection, it is time to buy it now. Believe me, your kids will be singing and dancing to this movie in no time at all!
