You Gotta See This Video Contest

Nothing beats a video contest when you want to get a message across. Recently, Abbott Medical Optics, a global leader in laser vision correction, hosted a “You Gotta See This” iLASIK Video Contest.

Entry was simple, all you had to do was submit a video about the impact of improved vision on their lives in one of 3 categories – “My contacts are getting in the way of my good time”, “My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision” or “You should see life after the iLasik procedure.”

Participants demonstrated a high level of video making and creativity which range from raps to plays. Too bad, the contest has already ended, else I may even submit an entry too.

The grand prize winner, Alex, won $5000. Check out his video below … it is an entertaining look at the difference Lasik made and I could relate to most of what he has to say. The other winners won prizes like an HDTV package and a Flip UltraHD camcorder.

Overall, I think this contest is pretty cool and is a good way for AMO to gain attention on their eye surgery services.
