IPhone Controlled Vending Machine
Chris Varenhorst, a graduate of MIT Computer Science, bought an old soda machine from Craigslist and connected it to the internet.
He makes an interesting tweak by writing an iPhone app to dispense beer and soda upon your command. Just imagine a cold drink waiting for you when you return home.

MIT graduate Chris Varenhorst snagged an old vending machine off Craigslist to use in his latest science project: the Vender. Chris “created an iPhone app that sent messages to the server, so he could press a button from anywhere and make the machine dispense a cold drink.” Video after the break.
