7inch iPad Mini to challenge Amazon Kindle and Google Nexus 7
Something about 7 intrigues tablet manufacturers. Google Nexus 7 is based on that size, and so is Amazon Kindle Fire together with Samsung smaller sized Tab devices.
It seems like gadget fans are taking to this size. And that is forcing Apple to take a second look at the 7 inch form factor which they previously derided.
In fact, Apple may release a 7” iPad Mini before Christmas this year. And it may not have the Retina display. Fewer features and smaller size could mean a lower manufacturing cost and hence cheaper retail prices which will give Google Nexus 7 and Microsoft’s Surface a run for their money.
At the same price, will you buy a 7” iPad or the Nexus 7?
