Forget for a moment the dispute between Apple and Adobe over Flash. While there are shortcomings in Flash which makes it more suitable on PC than mobile platforms, Adobe has strive for improvement.

In fact, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 software has been installed on more than 20 million smart phones since its launch. For 2011, Adobe expects Flash Player to be supported on more than 132 million units worldwide.

Adobe has also recently released a new Customer Experience Management platform which promises immersive experiences and transform how enterprises engage and service their customers.

The Web experience management solution which integrates with Adobe Online Marketing Suite enables businesses to leverage new mobile devices and social communities to extend marketing reach and increase conversion rates.

This development is a boon to online marketers with the dramatic takeup of smartphones and tablets and social networks by consumers.

Indeed, Adobe is an indispensable personal and corporate tool today. Many of its products are widely used, for example Photoshop, Coldfusion, Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suit, etc.

Adobe software solutions rank high in functionality. There are few users who do not have at least a Adobe software. Whether you are into desktop publishing, photoediting, video watching, Adobe has a suitable product for you.

As the company is constantly innovating and coming up with new products, it is hard to keep up with the latest offerings. Although many sites provide reviews of Adobe products, I like the layout in blog.jivaldi.com which showcases Adobe 2011 products at a glance.

You can find out descriptions of exciting features and functions for products like Adobe BrowserLab, Adobe Helium, Adobe Maestro, Adobe Business Catalyst, etc.

If you are interested in adobe web products, check out the blog today.

We know Apple and Adobe are not on good terms but in business, there are no lifelong enemies.

Since Apple dropped Flash and opted for HTML5 in iPhone and iPad OS, Adobe has gone for a tit-for-tat by withdrawing investments on all iPhone app development in Flash.

However, there is a good chance that the two companies could collaborate again with Adobe’s new flash player dubbed ‘Gala’.

This latest flash player will harness H.264 video hardware decoding on Mac OS X 10.6.3 which is good for a Mac user. If you installed the right graphics card, your flash playback will be smoother. Your browser won’t take off but at least it won’t run like a snail.

I don’t know when iPhone will start using Flash, if ever; but at least Mac users can now watch Youtube without consuming all their RAM and CPU.

I know Apple and Adobe aren’t on good terms but didn’t realize the battle has gone over to the dark side.

When Steve Jobs demonstrated an iPad at Wednesday’s tablet event, its Safari browser clearly did not support Flash. Adobe has published a blog post calling Flash the Apple iPad’s “broken link.”

And now Adobe’s platform evangelist Lee Brimelow has compiled an illustrative montage (partly screengrabbed above) in an effort to illustrate what the lack of Flash means for the iPad.

[Wired]

So Adobe has raised a serious question here… why would anyone want to buy a web surfing gadget which can’t display porn? Can’t imagine people giving up porn just because the gadget possess superior design, apps or functionality.

I hate to say this but porn really drives a lot of consumer technology innovation. What do you guys think?
