At IFA in Berlin, there is a foam printer which can really spice things up in your house. It allows you to send gorgeous, ethereal letters floating high into the sky (check out the video!).

Hmm, the thought of programing this foam printer to send letters floating through the house to my wife during her birthday thrills me.

A common strategy of printer companies these days is to allow us to buy dirt cheap printers but freaking expensive toners.

With this printer, we can forget about spending a fortune on toners. At the moment, the papers are pretty expensive though.

If the technology develops further and the prices come down, conventional printers are going to get a run for their money.

Introducing the world’s smallest mobile printer…

This ultra-portable pocket-sized printer adopts PrintDreams’ propietary RMPT Full technology that allows it to print documents at a maximum speed of 250mm/sec.

The printer uses Bluetooth to connect with a laptop and print an A4 paper at 600 dpi (monochrome). It also supports USB 2.0, IRda, and a rechargeable Li-Ion battery.

The Printbrush is scheduled to be launched next year for around $199.
