Most successful blogs had been active for quite a long time. Of course, the definition of success varies according to individuals.
But looking at the Technorati top 100 or the very best blogs in your niche areas, you will notice that there is at least 2 years of blogging before they experience an exponential spike in readers.
Of course, some blogs, through luck, excellent content and shrewd marketing, rise through the ranks faster.
If you have neither of the three qualities in abundance, take a long term approach and stick to it. You can’t go wrong with patience. Traffic will come, and with it, lots of money.
If you want to make money online, you can consider paid surveys… but are there any real income from such sites?? From what I have seen, there are legitimate sites that send you surveys every month to take and the rewards can range between $5 to $50 for one survey.
If you get selected for a focus group, even better, you can pocket $200 to $300 per study, but the requirements will be more stringent and it may be spaced over several days or weeks.
Most other surveys are for points and discounts. If you continue to get good surveys every day, it is possible to make a few hundred dollars a month. It is not a get rich quick scheme though.
Main thing is not to pay for the list of sites that give surveys. This info is easily available for free.
Researching online programs can be a risky business. It seems that no matter which way I turn, there are contradictory advice or making money opportunities best described as scams.
These programs offer very little, if anything, in return. Unfortunately, for newbies like me or those who are desperate or greedy, we can be lured by the beautiful promises and waste our time and money.
They become discouraged and in turn give up their dreams of online income after joining a “good” program but it falls short of expectations in terms of reward and support.
“Too good to be true” and it often is.
Buy something for dirt cheap, less than 99 cents and sell it for $5 to $6. Minus the listing fees, you can still make a good profit. I have some success with digital products in the past but now it is getting harder. The chances are very slim of arbitraging on ebay items but if you are willing to commit the time, it is possible.
Alternatively, offer to sell something on Ebay with your account and charge them a nominal fee of $1 to cover costs and labor. You won’t get rich but it is a realistic way to earn some money.
This week, I hope to research more on the steps involved in making money online. I am interested on what all the experts describe as Passive Income. I am on a binge right now and gobbling up everything on this topic, hopefully, I can throw up something worthwhile to engage in.
Check this blog for more updates from my passive income research later on.
I see many people engrossed with lottery, gambling and stuff. I agree that the fastest way to get enormous amount of money in the bank with minimal outlay is to buy a $1 lottery ticket.
But chances are very good that the $1 is gone as the probability of success is stacked too high. I buy lottery but I don’t think this is the right way to get rich.
I have so much to learn and I want to do everything at once, but my instinct tells me that is a big mistake.
A lot of people fail to succeed because they jump from program to program and never give anything a real chance. Nothing is going to make us rich overnight so get over the idea. A business plan can help us to prepare for every step of progress.
I am not ambitious nor a marketing genius, I can only do my best and focus on dealing with one thing at a time.
Ok, back to the business plan. Three words to summarize the core business competency - “Content is king.” In this blogging business, the first success ingredient is to write really well and get readers to come back. Once you start writing on a consistent basis and your content is well received, making money becomes easy.
However, sticking to a frequent writing schedule is easier said than done even though all of us love to make money.
I am not the best writer around but I love writing and on a blog, I can express my ideas and opinions freely. There are of course other ways to make money on the Internet. Individual results vary, some are more profitable, some entail more work and some require talents and thinking out of the box.
Besides writing, there are people who offer their website design skills, music writing, games, bookkeeping, marketing, etc.
Of the above mentioned, I have none of the requisite abilities and while I can self-teach myself to stay in the game, I will stick to writing and blogging for the time being.
